North Dorset Sub Aqua Club

Our team

At North Dorset Sub Aqua Club we have our committee of elected members, working hard to ensure the club offers members lots of varied diving and social events, conducted in a safe manner under the BSAC guidelines.

Karl Stenning

BSAC advanced diver and advanced instructor and holder of many other dive qualifications

I joined North Dorset in 2012 and took  on the role of dive officer from April 2013 as i was most qualified for that position at the time, I stood down from that position in 2017 and took over as chairman

I have been diving since 1998, my main interest is wreckdiving and i'm often found travelling the world teaching and supervising diving

Jules Kelley

Position/  Diving Officer

BSAC Advanced Diver & open water instructor

I was a reluctant trainee but 18 years after taking my try dive you can't keep me out of the water !!

Now an advanced diver and open water instructor , i mainly enjoy looking for critters and see life below the surface as my underwater garden.

John James

BSAC  Dive leader & open circuit trimix

John joined BSAC at the Bahrain Dilmun Club in 1980 and has been diving ever since. Qualified to Dive Leader and open circuit trimix he's had opportunity to dive in Australia, North America and the Middle East but likes UK diving the best. John joined NDSAC in 1985 and has been involved with training many club members, some of whom have survived and themselves served as committee members. John has also organised many of the club trips over the years and is a keen member of any expeditions

I joined NDSAC in 2007. Learning to Dive has given me some challenges and still does!

Giles has been with the club longer than he cares to remember.

Also enjoys diving with sharks and underwater photography.

Other attributes: Pugnacious, Optimistic, Swashbuckling and Convivial.

Gwynn James

Position/  Social secetary

I began diving with Dilman divers, a BSAC club in Bahrain in 1982, continuing this with  NDSAC on our return to the UK, to qualify as dive leader and open water instructor.

I enjoy diving wrecks and learning their stories but have a soft spot for sea creatures of all kinds. I have served in many roles on the committee on the wet side over the years, I'm now trying my hand at organising some dryside events as social secetary
